Born as Alisha Ann Itkin in Brooklyn, New York, Alisha began her career in 1985 with her self titled debut album, "ALISHA" (Vanguard Records), which featured the chart topping hits, "All Night Passion," "Baby Talk," and "Too Turned On." The single "Baby Talk" reached #1 on the hot dance charts and achieved over 2 million in sales. Since her debut album, Alisha has had two additional albums. Her second album, "NightWalkin" (RCA) was released in 1987 and featured the well known dance montage song "Do You Dream About Me" from the movie Mannequin. It also produced the single, "Into My Secret" which reached #97 on the pop charts. Her third album titled "Bounce Back" (MCA) was released in 1990 and featured the single "Wrong Number" and the title song "Bounce Back" that played on the radio and dance clubs nationally. In 1996 Alisha released a dance single titled "Wherever The Rhythm Takes Me" (CRITIQUE/FEVER RECORDS) and most recently, in 1999 she was chosen to sing the title track to the Will Ferrell/Molly Shannon movie, "Superstar" with the song "You Wanna Be A Star" (JELLY BEAN RECORDS). After taking some time off to have a family, Alisha has returned to recording and performing. She is currently working on some new projects to be released in 2006 and is looking forward to making a comeback.
